The WHO:
After conducting several interviews there is a tight niche
in which my product will be useful. But that being said, there is also a somewhat
similar market audience for which my product will not work. The main sectors that
I feel will actually utilize my product include relatively small and local
nightclubs, and local venues where DJs or other artists may perform. Where the
capacity of people would not exceed for 250-300. The market audience where my
product would not be effective would be large concerts or events.
The WHAT: When people go out, they can sometimes find that
carrying their essential items with them around is somewhat of a burden. Not to
mention there is a 50/50 chance that you walk out of that place without something
you originally had. It would be great of people had a place to store their
items while they are out enjoying themselves.
The WHY: Like I said, this product will probably not work
for all clubbing or concert events. A huge chunk of that I think depends on the
structure of the venue itself, and the maximum capacity of people that the
place can actually withstand. But for places that it would be compatible with,
it would work for people who want to keep their things safe, as well as it
would make an extra penny for venues that are willing to try it out.
Inside the boundary:
-
Local clubs
-
DJ venues
-
Small concerts
-
People who hate carrying things with them in their
hands
Outside the boundary:
-
Large venues
-
Concerts exceeding a capacity of 300 people
-
People who look to steal from others.
Hi Gracie!
ReplyDeleteI also discovered through my research that my boundaries were not as large as I thought they were at first. I'm glad to see how realistic you are in regards to the practicality of your product. This exercise seems to help in finding what areas of the market would be the most profitable and realistic for your lockers. Once again, great work on this assignment. Thanks!
Hi Gracie,
ReplyDeleteI like how you narrowed down your niche and identified where your product would be ineffective. Your item would be helpful, and I feel like I need one myself. Why would it be ineffective in larger venues? How does a larger venue render your idea ineffective? Either way, I like your idea and look forward to seeing you implement it.
